Once again the TVP awards night was an evening of glamour, excitement and emotion as the 3rd year students dressed up and turned out with parents and friends to hear who had won the prestigious TVP Golden Tape Awards.
The final major project programmes are judged by current practitioners who also the present the awards on the night. We are very grateful to all the people who give their time to judge the programmes amongst whom this year were Roger Pearce ( James Bond Films, Merlin, Dr Who) who judged best camera, Duncan Staff (Producer currently working on 3 part primetime series for BBC) who judged best producer and Alan Hinchliffe ( one of lead editors on Crimewatch)who judged best Editor.
The evening is also a very special one as this is when we say goodbye to the 3rd years as they all go on to their placements at Easter and then, for many of them, move straight on to their first proper job ( as was the case with the majority of the students last year.)
