
Gordon is Professor of Old Testament Theology at the University of Gloucestershire. He is the author or co-author of twelve books, and many articles with special interests in Deuteronomy, the prophets, and Old Testament theology and spirituality. His most recent books are God and Earthly Power, an Old Testament political theology (2006, 2008), and a theological commentary on the book of Joshua (2010). He has also edited three volumes, including the Dictionary of the Old Testament: the Prophets (2012, with Mark Boda, McMaster University), He is co-editor of the Two Horizons Commentary (Old Testament) with Craig Bartholomew. His main current project is a book on the spirituality of the Old Testament.
