Profile

Denise is a BASES Accredited Sport and Exercise Scientist, with her research and applied specialism lying within the alleviation of choking under pressure.

She offers currently psychological support to a number of professional golfers on the European Ladies Golf Tour, and has worked with the Welsh Ladies Golf team, Christine Langford Golf Schools and a number of other elite ladies golf teams within the UK.

Denise contributes to research methods and sport/exercise psychology modules across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes (e.g., Performance Psychology; Individual Difference; Exercise Psychology; Behaviour Change; Motivational Interviewing and Postgraduate Inquiry). She also supervises a number of MSc and PhD research students within a range of psychological subjects (e.g., Choking under Pressure; Role of Music on Exercise Behaviour; Use of Sport Psychology within Premiership Football; Exercise and Body Image, Exercise and self-esteem).
