The CILC Team
Good teaching and support are very important to us. The CILC team consists of a student support team and a number of permanent teaching staff. Our student support team are the first people you will hear from when you contact us. They are here to help you before you arrive (with visas, accommodation, payments) and support you when you are here, helping with any welfare issues to do with living in a different country.
All of our teaching staff are qualified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Some teachers are also teacher trainers.
We have taught many nationalities in the United Kingdom and have also taught overseas in countries including Hong Kong, Hungary, Portugal, Spain and Turkey.
The University
CILC is based at the Park Campus, which is just a twenty minute walk from Cheltenham's main shopping centre and a five minute walk for the Bath road shopping area.
The Park is 24 acres of beautiful parkland. The campus includes a lake, a boathouse, tennis court and lots of green space for you to explore and enjoy.
We think we are very lucky to be able to teach our courses in our modern buildings and beautiful white Regency buildings.
The Park campus facilities include:
- A library with language laboratory and WiFi area
- Computer rooms with internet/e-mail access
- A cafe where you can buy snacks and hot or cold meals
- The Students' Union which includes a bar, pool tables, a student lounge and a jobshop
- A medical centre
To use any of these facilities, you will need a university student identity (ID) card, which you will get when you arrive. This card also gives you a reduced fare on Stagecoach buses in the Cheltenham and Gloucester area.
During the summer we may also teach at our Francis Close Hall campus. This is a beautiful traditional looking campus with a clock tower.
