International Welfare Team

The International Welfare Team is based at Park Campus (Helpzone), and comprises two International Student Advisers.

The role of the International Student Advisers (ISA) is to provide you, the student, with free and confidential advice.  Advice can be given on the following: visa extensions, travelling to Europe, inviting family members to visit, registering with the police, employment, attendance monitoring, and adjusting to life in the UK.

An ISA should be available term-times and vacations, as follows:

Ø  By appointment Monday to Thursday 9am – 12pm / 1pm – 5pm;

Ø  By drop-in every day 10am – 4:30pm;

Ø  By phone every day 10am – 4:30pm (Tel:  01242 714300);

Ø  By email: isa@glos.ac.uk

If you are unable to come to a scheduled appointment, please phone or email to cancel it, so that it can be given to another student.

Current international students - this is your chance to have your say!

The International Student Barometer (ISB) starts at the university on Wednesday 8th May. The ISB is your opportunity to tell us what you think of your university experience so far, so that we can continue to improve the services we offer international students at the University of Gloucestershire.

The first ten students to respond will receive a £15 Amazon gift voucher and all respondents will be entered into a prize draw to win an i-Pad.

The survey forms part of a wider ongoing study and is independently administered for the University by the International Graduate Insight Group (i-graduate.org).  As a thank-you for completing the questionnaire, i-graduate offers the opportunity to win a £1000 cash prize or suggest a £1000 donation to charity.

Please check your email account for further details on how to take part.
