What is the scheme?
The scheme is managed by the Guidance & Recruitment Team based at Park, who work with all campuses to provide part-time paid employment for current students. You will act as an ambassador for the university, working with school/college pupils to share your experiences of studying with in higher education.
Who are Student Ambassadors?
Anyone currently studying at the University, who has a passion for their course, subject, or just a love for university life, can apply for the position.
Who do Ambassadors work with?
Ambassadors work with a wide range of young people; those directly considering a move to university and those who might not have considered higher education an option. Ambassadors might also work with the parents and teachers of those young people, and will certainly work closely with University staff. The money
Ambassadors are paid £8.28 an hour
Hours are flexible depending on what type of event you’re working: it can range from a one hour campus tour, a whole day, or even a week residential!
Training
Ambassadors will receive and be paid for full training in all areas of work. Ambassadors must complete the training before they are able to work.
