The 2012/13 University Housing List is now available
How do I access this list?
Go to www.glosstudentpad.co.uk and search away! Don’t forget, you’ll need the password that was previously emailed to your University account. If you don't have this password, please call 01242714544 or email accommodation@glos.ac.uk. You will need to provide either your University student number or UCAS id number.
This is your first stop for hundreds of properties exclusively for University of Gloucestershire students.
The list will feature a large selection of suitable housing that meets the university’s high registration criteria; with a range of rent prices for all budgets. All properties registered with the University meet our robust safety criteria. Due to this, we urge students to only view properties that are registered with the university. The average rent for our shared housing is between £60 to £85 per room, per week. Students should allow a minimum of £12 a week to cover the bills if they are not included in the rent. Contract lengths can vary between 40 to 52 weeks. You should expect to a pay a deposit of approximately one month’s rent when you accept a property.
It is important that you think about whom you want to live with as you will be spending a lot of time with them and there will be no easy way to change this once contracts are signed. Think about the various aspects of your lifestyles to help you decide; are some of you very tidy, whilst others can live with mess? Are some of you early birds and others night owls? We recommend waiting until after Christmas before fully confirming who you’re going to live with. That's the reason why we release the list on the first day of the spring term (16th Jan.) If you haven’t decided on your housemates by this date, don’t worry. The list will be updated throughout the year with many more properties added.
Student Housing Guide
Finding a house or flat to live in can be a daunting prospect. There can be many decisions to make and ultimately you will be entering into a contractual arrangement of a financial nature. That's why we've put together a Student Housing Guide for you. This guide will give you a full understanding of renting a property in the private sector before you start to look for a house or flat. Student Housing Guides can be picked up from the Accommodation Office or simply download it from this page.
