The University's halls of residences have rooms that have been designed for use by disabled students on all campuses. The rooms tend to be larger than the other rooms in halls with more accessible bathroom facilities and flexible interiors to suit the level of need required. Rooms designed for students with mobility difficulties are all ground floor rooms. The University also has fire alarm systems in place for D/deaf students including flashing fire alarms and vibrating pillows. All four campuses in Cheltenham and Gloucester have halls of residence on site.
We would be happy to arrange a visit for any student who would like to view the adapted accommodation. Students who wish to be accommodated within adapted rooms should identify their support needs on their Accommodation Application Form and/or discuss their needs with a Disability Adviser. The Disability Adviser will liaise with the Accommodation Department to try to accommodate any requirements.
