As well as lots of fantastic sporting opportunities the University of Gloucestershire provides opportunities through the UNIversal Sport program to get active and stay healthy whilst having fun with friends.

Have a look at what UNIversal Active Exercise classes are taking place on and around your campus from Monday 15th April.

Body Conditioning

Body Conditioning

A new addition this semester, Body Conditioning sessions delivered by Alex Wallace, one of our many qualified female instructors will be delivering the following Body conditioning sessions this semester.

Pittville Campus
Wednesday 18:30-19:30pm Body Conditioning
Low impact exercise to music class for toning, shaping and strengthen your whole body.

 

FREE 3pm Running Group.People Running
Running is not always enjoyable on your own so why not do it with friends and join one of the UNIversal Sport Running Groups lead by our HE Running Officer Lucy Wood.

Monday- Park Campus
3pm Running group for all students- meet Lucy Wood at Park Reception for a 45 minute running session available to all students of a various abilities.
Please wear suitable running wear and trainers.

Friday- FCH Campus

3pm Running group for all students- meet Lucy Wood at FCH Refectory for a 45 minute running session available to all students of a various abilities.
Please wear suitable running wear and trainers.


Please note all running groups will commence from Monday 22nd April

Cardio Tennis (University Tennis Co-ordinator Jason Poole)
Cardio Tennis is a series of tennis-based drills and activities played to up-tempo music on a tennis court. It does not require tennis skills, but is all about keeping your heart rate up, burning calories and having fun. Whether the ball goes in or out is irrelevant as the main purpose is to get fit.
Monday- 16:00-16:30pm Montpellier Tennis Courts (£2 per session)

Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient and graceful movement. UNIversal Sport runs several Pilates sessions weekly across University Campus.

FCH Campus, Cheltenham

Zumba
Why not add further variety to getting physically active with our UNIversal Zumba classes

Zumba Class

Zumba is a fun and exciting fitness class that combines Latin music and easy-to-follow dance moves. Zumba routines incorporate interval training, alternating fast and slow rhythms and resistance training. One of the more popular classes, where Zumba is an enjoyable way to work out whilst getting fit and active.

Thursday 6pm-7pm Pittville Campus
Delivered by Lucy Heath.

(All exercise classes are £2 per person and delivered by qualified instructors)
