During challenging economic times, it is especially important to recognise employees for their hard work. It is even more rewarding when excellence amongst employees is recognised by peers. To that end, any student or member of staff can nominate any team they feel deserves a Staff Excellence Award.
The Staff Excellence Awards 2013 celebrate and reward teams of staff who, in the course of the year, have demonstrated an exceptional contribution to the Mission of the University.
The Awards will be presented at the Staff Awards event on 1 May 2013 at Cheltenham Town Hall, alongside the Student-led Teaching Awards and University Teaching Fellowships.
By installing this culture of celebration and reward we can remind staff that we value their work, commitment and ability and give them an opportunity share their successes with their colleagues.
This year an award will be made in each of the following categories:
- Providing students with excellent learning experiences through outstanding learning and teaching support
- Promoting enterprise, employability and wider economic, social and cultural benefit for the community
- Embedding research, scholarship, practice and consultancy in all our activities
- Building strong relationships with selected partners for mutual benefit
- Demonstrating a commitment to helping the University be a successful and sustainable organisation.
