National Student Survey Results Summary 2012 

Response rates

The University of Gloucestershire’s response rate in the 2012 survey was 70%, higher than the sector rate of 67%.

 

Trends by section

The figures in the table below show the percentage of students who responded either 'agree' or 'definitely agree' to questions in the following topics:

  • Overall satisfaction decreased by 1% in 2012, but it was still the second highest overall satisfaction    rate achieved by the University. The overall sector score rose by 2%.
  • Satisfaction for Organisation & Management improved by 1%.
  • Satisfaction for Personal Development was better than the sector.
  • Scores fell by 1% for Course Teaching and Academic Support, and by 3% for Assessment & Feedback. However, all section scores, except Learning Resources, were better than or equal to earlier years.
  • The following courses achieved an outstanding 100% for overall satisfaction: 
  •  NSS Faculty results 2012

    • The Faculty of Business, Education and Professional Studies (BEPS) had higher satisfaction than the sector for Academic support, Personal development and Overall satisfaction.
    • The Faculty of Applied Sciences (AS) had their highest score for Overall satisfaction. They were better than the sector for Organisation & Management.
    • The schools of Accounting & Law and Humanities achieved over 90% satisfaction with Course teaching and Overall satisfaction.
    • The schools of Leisure and Public Services achieved over 90% satisfaction with Personal development and Course teaching respectively.
